About Us

Eté, is a fresh food cafe at the heart of Westbourne, known for its vibrant, colourful dishes and relaxed atmosphere. Our food philosophy is simple: fresh, nutritious, and beautifully presented. We prepare wholesome, balanced dishes using seasonal ingredients - food that looks as good as it tastes.

We currently have a fantastic team and are now looking for another skilled cook to join our friendly kitchen and uphold the same high standards.

The Role

As a Counter Cook, you'll be preparing and plating our fresh dishes - from vibrant salads and open toasts to French toasts and brunch plates. You'll be at the heart of service, ensuring that every plate leaving the counter is visually appealing, consistent, and made with care. You will also be in the heart of the venue, cooking in front of our customers and leading that fun and flamboyant atmosphere that our menu creates.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing, assembling and plating fresh dishes
  • Maintaining excellent presentation and portion control
  • Staying calm and efficient during busy service periods
  • Assisting with prep, food rotation, and maintaining hygiene standards
  • Communicating smoothly with front-of-house staff
  • Upholding Été's values of freshness, colour, nutrition, and simplicity

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Calm under pressure, organised, and dependable
  • Presentable with a positive, team-focused attitude
  • Passionate about fresh, simple, colourful food
  • Has an eye for detail and presentation
  • Comfortable working in a small, close-knit team
  • Experienced in a café or light kitchen setting (preferred but not essential)
  • Holds or is willing to obtain a Food Hygiene Certificate
