Job Advert: Senior Production Planner
Join Us as a Senior Production Planner
We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner to take full ownership of planning across our manufacturing operations and play a vital role in delivering some of the most exciting engineering programmes in the industry.
In this senior position, you will lead the development of integrated production schedules across our vehicle, battery, and component manufacturing activities. Working closely with Programmes, Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams, you will ensure that resources, materials, and processes are aligned to meet demanding prototype build milestones.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, understands the complexities of ever-evolving engineering data, and can confidently steer planning activity to keep complex builds on track. With the company entering a period of growth, you will also contribute to shaping the future of the planning function and the tools we use.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the master production schedule for all RML programmes, ensuring alignment with project milestones and customer commitments.
- Translate engineering BoMs and build requirements into executable manufacturing plans across fabrication, machining, composites, paint, battery build, and final assembly.
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and competing priorities early, driving clear mitigation and recovery actions.
- Partner with Engineering and Programmes to manage change, build phases, long-lead procurement, and design updates.
- Deliver senior-level reporting on schedule adherence, work-in-progress, and resource utilisation.
- Support continuous improvement of planning processes, ERP/MRP utilisation, and cross-functional workflow.
About You
- Significant production planning experience within automotive, motorsport, aerospace, or similar low-volume, high-complexity engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, composites, paint, mechanical/electrical assembly, and ideally HV battery assembly.
- Confident interpreting drawings, BoMs, and engineering change documentation.
- Skilled in ERP/MRP systems and comfortable managing complex multi-stage BoMs (Syteline experience beneficial but not essential).
- A proactive and influential communicator who brings clarity and structure to a fast-moving prototype environment.
- Solutions-driven, highly organised, and comfortable taking ownership of scheduling decisions.
If you're ready to make a significant impact in a cutting-edge engineering environment, we'd love to hear from you.
