Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Kitchen Chef to join our vibrant restaurant/café team. As a chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining exceptional food standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will play a key role in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and portion controls.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and delivered on time, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in all kitchen areas.
  • Monitor ingredient levels, assist with inventory management, and communicate supply needs to management.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
  • Assist in menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements to existing recipes.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive kitchen culture.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a chef or cook in a restaurant, café, or similar food service environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional cuisine and presentation.
