Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chef de parti/junior sous chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a chef de parti/junior sous chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation
  • Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

  • Previous kitchen experience is essential, ideally within a restaurant setting
  • Culinary experience with knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for hygiene in the kitchen
  • Experience in meal preparation and serving is advantageous
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field
