Who You Are

We're looking for a motivated and passionate person who has a strong interest in embedded software & electronics design.

You enjoy writing code, building and simulating circuits and you have a good intuitive understanding of discrete components.

You're organized, methodical and take pride in doing things well. You love debugging code, troubleshooting circuits and always seek to understand the fundamental reason when things don't work. You are capable of developing code from either a blank slate or building on an existing codebase. You understand the need for good documentation and don't see it as an impediment.

What You Bring


• Hands-on experience in electronics and firmware design


• Degree in Electronics Engineering


• Proven track record designing commercial products


• Strong skills in schematic capture and PCB layout (Mentor Graphics PADs or similar)

Expertise in:


• embedded bare metal experience and Transistor-level and analogue circuit design


• Low-power DC-DC SMPS (under 50W)


• LED drive circuits and microcontroller comms (SPI, USB, etc.)


• Bare-metal and RTOS development in C


• Writing low-level drivers (SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, PWM)


• IoT protocols (Wi-Fi, BLE, MQTT)


• Confident with lab tools: oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, soldering fine-pitch components


• Experience working within ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 quality systems
