About Us
TS Healthcare is a dynamic and growing care provider dedicated to delivering high-quality domiciliary care and supported living services for both children and adults. Our focus is on providing person-centered care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. As we enter a period of expansion, we are seeking motivated, trustworthy, and compassionate individuals who want to make a positive impact by supporting vulnerable adults and children in the comfort of their own homes.
Purpose
To effectively support service users in meeting their personal care needs while respecting their dignity and promoting their independence, our care workers provide assistance comparable to what family members would offer. It's important to note that the care provided does not include tasks typically performed by trained nurses.
Key Duties
The primary goal is to provide care that enables clients to lead as independent a lifestyle as possible. This involves a personalised care programme outlined in a Care Plan for each client. Care duties will include assisting clients with the following activities while always observing and respecting their dignity, privacy, and independence:
Personal Care
- Dressing and undressing
- Personal grooming
- Hair care
- Personal hygiene
- Continence management
- Pressure sore care under appropriate nursing supervision
- Physical handling
Healthcare
- Assisting with rehabilitation programmes as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Helping clients take prescribed medication, if suitably trained
Dietary Care
- Preparing snacks and meals according to clients' preferences
- Assisting with feeding when necessary
Household Care
- General cleaning tasks
- Bedmaking
- Rubbish removal
- Laundry
- Shopping, including making shopping lists and managing budgets
Personal Services
- Assisting with finances and bill payments
- Personal planning for special occasions
- Supporting democratic rights, such as voting
Furthermore, you must adhere to all policies and procedures established by the organisation concerning care duties and other administrative responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include:
- Participating in induction training and regular in-service training sessions as directed by the Domiciliary Care Services Manager/Supervisor
- Maintaining accurate, concise, and timely records of client care, including diary sheets, time sheets, and mileage sheets
- Taking part in staff, team, and quality management review meetings as directed by the Domiciliary Care Services Manager/Supervisor
- Reporting any concerns about client care that require investigation or urgent attention to the Domiciliary Care Services Manager/Supervisor
- Participating in reviews of clients' Care Plans as needed
- Being aware of tasks and activities that should NOT be undertaken as part of care duties, as detailed in Policy 101
Additional Information
The organisation is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. Therefore, an Enhanced DBS check and evidence of full work history since leaving full-time education are required, along with two professional references or four character references.
