Overview:

Currently a dual role, we are seeking a proactive and skilled Warehouse Operative and Customer Service Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine strong customer service skills with the technical ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair goods. You'll play a key role in ensuring that products are handled efficiently, customers receive exceptional service, and repaired items meet our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Receive, process, and organise incoming goods and returns accurately.

· Carry out repairs, maintenance, and testing of products to ensure they meet operational standards before dispatch.

· Diagnose faults and determine appropriate repair solutions using hand tools, testing equipment, or diagnostic software.

· Manage warehouse inventory, ensuring goods are properly stored, tracked, and recorded.

· Prepare items for shipment, ensuring orders are complete and meet delivery deadlines.

· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.

· Support continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience:

· Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment would be an advantage

· Strong technical or mechanical aptitude — experience repairing consumer goods or similar products preferred.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to work methodically under pressure.

· Competence in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or related software an advantage (although training can be given)

· Ability to lift, move, and handle products safely.

· A proactive, problem-solving mindset and team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications:

· GCSEs or equivalent; vocational or technical qualifications.

· Forklift certification or relevant equipment training (advantageous, not essential).

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Hawke offers a pension scheme, and a generous bonus, paid twice yearly, after completion of a successful probationary period.
