Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations within a busy dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring efficient service and operational excellence.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage the entire customer service experience, ensuring guests receive attentive and professional service.
- Implement and monitor food safety procedures in compliance with health regulations.
- Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster team development.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee stock control to optimise operational efficiency.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally to uphold the restaurant's reputation.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas at all times.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of ingredients and equipment.
- Assist in marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant's offerings.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food production, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff.
- Background in culinary arts or food preparation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices including serving, barista work, and hotel operations is advantageous.
- Leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills.
