Bakery Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality and food safety. Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for baking, including measuring, mixing, and portioning.
• Support the baking process by operating ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Help with decorating and packaging baked goods for display or sale in the coffee shop and vending machines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of products.
• Follow recipes accurately to produce consistent quality baked items.
• Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary.

Skills

• Experience in food production or food preparation is essential.
• Previous kitchen or culinary experience, particularly in baking, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
