As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for an experienced Field Section Manager to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a dependable, dedicated and flexible Field Section Manager to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. As a member of the Materials Testing Team, it is key that you are able to thrive in a team environment, as well as independently. The fundamental part of the role it to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with a range of British, European and American standards so a good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures is required.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

  • Daily onsite field-testing
  • Effective management of resource and premises
  • Developing, motivating and mentoring a team of Technicians

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in a wide range of field tests
  • Previous line management / supervisory skills
  • Ability to train and develop others

About Materials Testing:

Our Materials Testing team perform an extensive range of testing and compliance services across a wide range of construction projects including highways, rail, airfields, ports and harbours, power stations and sports stadia, in addition to new-build projects across industrial, commercial and residential properties.
