Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of food safety and culinary excellence. Your passion for cooking and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our guests' dining experience.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented attractively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and standards at all times.
  • Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food supplies properly.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas when possible.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
