Position: Finance Associate

Location: Cambridge, Hybrid (3 days at the office)

The Job

This role will be supporting the Finance Business Partner for the Commercial function at AVEVA. The candidate will work with the Finance Business Partner to help deliver the financial performance targets for the business function they support, providing timely and accurate financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate who is looking to develop their career in a fast-paced environment.   

Responsibilities 

  • Assist with month end reporting requirements, including budgeting & forecasting. 
  • Assist with financial analysis, identifying and investigating trends in current performance 
  • Assist with data cleansing and streamlining of reporting 
  • Support the Finance Business Partner with any ad-hoc analysis required 
  • Assist with production of presentation decks and communication to senior stakeholders 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Some accounting knowledge or background, or an interest in pursuing an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
  • Excellent communication skills. Written and verbal. 
  • Strong IT skills – Microsoft Excel essential 
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to be proactive
  • Able to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines

Hybrid working
