Role Description
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our small team and use their skills to push our production forward. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on quality and precision. This role involves working with various materials, including sheet metal, and utilising both hand and power tools to create high-quality components for our projects. The job is interesting and varied, the team are friendly and we offer a good life work balance.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture of machine parts using the following processes bending, forming, rolling and tapping
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products
- Perform TIG welding and stick welding techniques to fabricate bespoke components for our machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards of workmanship
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in TIG and stick welding is essential
- Skilled in fabrication processes and techniques (including bending, forming, rolling and tapping)
- Experience with hand tools and power tools commonly used in welding and fabrication
- Proficient in using basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and use initiative
- Ability to work to high quality standards
