Blacksmith/Welder

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Blacksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques, including MMA & MIG welding, and possess the ability to work with hand tools and power tools effectively. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG & MMA welding processes as required
• Fabricate metal components according to specifications
• Fabricate and install gates, railings and handrails to a high standard.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and joining materials
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently

Experience

• Proven experience in blacksmith and general fabrication and welding process.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes and techniques
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of assembly procedures
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
