Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor to support and guide young individuals in their personal and educational development. The ideal candidate will foster a positive environment, encouraging growth and resilience among youth. This role is essential in helping young people navigate challenges, build confidence, and achieve their goals through mentorship and support.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to youth, offering guidance and support tailored to individual needs.
- Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning and personal growth.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where young people feel valued and respected.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community organisations to ensure comprehensive support for each mentee.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to help youth set and achieve personal goals.
- Assist in the development of life skills through workshops or group activities.
- Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions and report on the progress of mentees.
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching or working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young individuals.
- Experience in youth work, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges faced by young people today.
- Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous, enabling tailored support for diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with youth, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of young people. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth while contributing positively to the community.

Pay: £24,420.00-£26,512.79 per year
