We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Sous Chef to join our fabulous team here at 1842 and Ivory Tower, to continue to develop the fun, exciting and passionate atmosphere we love to create.
Could it be you?..
Assisting the Head Chef you will work across all areas including the restaurant and our sister venue The Ivory Tower to create and present fresh and exceptional food, to achieve a consistent high-quality dining experience for all our customers. In order to be a successful Sous Chef you will have experience of managing a busy kitchen, taking control in the absence of the Head Chef.
They would share our passion, ambition and commitment for world class food and service through innovate ideas and mindset.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a proven experience in a role as a Sous Chef with a minimum of 2 years
- Has a real passion for food and service.
- Experience in supporting a head chef in building an energised and engaged team
- Displays a strong level of organisational skills
- Have previous experience managing Paperwork & EHO Documentation
- A hard work ethic and dedication with a positive can-do attitude
- Preferably having Banqueting/event experience.
Experience in the above is ideal, but passion is key

Our eclectic small plates menu works hand in hand with the creativity that flows throughout the whole venue. Our food, partnered with our unique and imaginative cocktails made by our highly talented mixologists, is served with exceptional customer service, whilst live entertainment enhances the customer experience.
Ivory Tower, our first floor wedding and events venue, is a 160 seater venue hosting a mix of weddings, corporate & private events.
A multi award winning venue, our ethos is to provide high quality food, drinks and importantly service. Whilst we are keen to maintain our excellent standards we are always looking for new and innovative ideas to grow the business and drive it forward.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
