Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, including working with seniors, individuals with dementia, and those requiring hospice care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Support clients with Alzheimer's or dementia care, employing behaviour management techniques as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of caregiving principles, including first aid and medication administration.
- Experience in senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively while providing compassionate care.
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred
- Must be physically fit to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting and prolonged standing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
