Position: C++ Specialist
Location: Fleet, UK (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term B2B Contract
Job Description:
Key Skills: C# or C++, 5G RAN, RRC
Role Overview:
• Focus on development, debugging, and support of high-performance R16/R17/R18 (RRC/L2/L1) features.
• Work with real-time tasks in a distributed, embedded hardware and Windows environment.
• Ensure successful development of roadmap features and resolution of technical issues from analysis to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• C# software analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
• Acquire technical expertise in client's NR5G enabled test system.
• Deep understanding of 3GPP features (R16, R17, R18) and ability to break down and implement these scenarios.
• Deliver customer-requested enhancements as patches or core product developments.
• Liaise with customers to understand requirements, investigate problems, and negotiate solutions.
• Some travel may be required.
Job Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
• Proactive problem solver with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in full lifecycle software development, especially debugging and triage.
• In-depth knowledge of 3GPP standards, specifically 5G, 4G, L3 protocols (RRC), and Layer 1 and Layer 2 features.
• Proven experience in support and triage using C++ and C#.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and toolsets.
• Ability to debug embedded software in complex real-time systems.
• Familiarity with source code management and defect tracking tools.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Proven track record in design, development, and optimization.
Desirable Skills:
• NR5G/LTE Protocol Development experience.
• Previous experience with test equipment manufacturers.
• Experience in Agile methodologies
