Caer Gwent is Guild Care's elegant nursing and residential home, known for its exceptional standards of care. We're seeking a Night Co-ordinator to lead our night team, ensuring the highest level of professional and compassionate care is delivered to every resident.

About The Role

• Lead and support the night care and nursing team to deliver safe, person-centred care.
• Oversee clinical standards, documentation, and effective communication between shifts.
• Respond promptly to residents' medical and emotional needs.
• Ensure the smooth, safe, and effective operation of the home throughout the night.
• Create a calm and reassuring environment for residents and staff.

• Experience in nursing or senior care (RN qualification desirable but not essential).
• Strong leadership and clinical awareness.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Required Criteria

• Experience working in a care or nursing environment.
• Proven ability to lead, support, and supervise a team during night shifts.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Commitment to providing person-centred, compassionate care.
• Ability to ensure residents' physical, emotional, and wellbeing needs are met.
• Skilled in maintaining accurate documentation and handovers.
• Understanding of dignity, choice, and independence in resident care.
• Willingness to work 48 hours per week (4 nights) on a permanent basis.

Desired Criteria

• Experience supporting older people or individuals living with dementia.
• Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) qualification or equivalent (though not essential).
• Previous experience as a Senior Carer or Team Leader in a care home setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety and CQC care standards.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Familiarity with electronic care planning or reporting systems.

Originally known as Worthing Council of Social Service, the organisation focused on alleviating poverty, isolation, and health challenges during difficult times. In the 1950s and 1960s, Guild Care established innovative day centres and residential care homes, significantly enhancing life quality for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Today, Guild Care supports over 3,000 people annually across West Sussex through a range of community-focused services.
