We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our team, ensuring that all medical instruments meet strict standards of cleanliness, functionality, and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in sterile services, medical device decontamination, or quality assurance who is eager to make a real impact on patient safety and healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control checks on medical instruments and equipment received from hospitals.
  • Inspect instruments for cleanliness, damage, correct assembly, and full functionality.
  • Accurately document QC outcomes and non-conformance reports in line with departmental processes.
  • Manage the quarantine area for non-compliant instruments.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and sterilisation units to resolve quality issues.
  • Report all events relating to instrument condition and processing.
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain organised, safe, and well-kept work areas and equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven knowledge of instrument handling and identification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sterile services, medical device decontamination, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Excel, digital systems, and documentation processes.
  • Background in working with strict quality assurance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate and reliable quality checks.
