We're now looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our growing UK buildings team. Based in one of our key offices, you'll play a central role in delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable building solutions — not just in the UK, but across global markets including the Middle East and beyond.

This is a role where your expertise will have real-world impact. You'll lead the engineering delivery of complex projects, guide junior engineers, and ensure that every solution meets the highest standards of quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability. Whether you're overseeing multi-disciplinary design work or managing smaller projects independently, your leadership will help shape the built environment for generations to come.

Beyond technical delivery, you'll be a mentor and role model — supporting team development, promoting diversity and inclusion, and contributing to strategic initiatives like recruitment, budgeting, and policy shaping. You'll represent Jacobs in client meetings, strengthen relationships, and help secure future work that continues to push boundaries.

Here's what you'll need

• Strong project design experience in mechanical building services
• Degree or equivalent in Building Services Mechanical Engineering
• Skilled in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and compliance assessments
• Chartered or working towards MCIBSE / MIET CEng accreditation
• Solid understanding of UK building regulations
• Experience integrating sustainable technologies
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
