We are looking for a well organised, flexible and reliable person to join our premises team as Caretaker. Reporting to the premises manager you will be responsible for caretaking tasks within the school. Experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are happy to provide training.

You will have:

  • use time effectively to ensure all spaces are ready for learning.

Main responsibilities and duties include:

  • key holder for the school, unlocking the premises daily
  • handyperson duties which may include minor repairs to furniture and fixtures
  • minor decorating tasks
  • completing legal statutory checks including fire alarms, water and temperature checks
  • taking electricity and water meter readings regularly
  • emptying bins and accepting deliveries
  • ensuring the external areas of the school are kept tidy by sweeping leaves, picking up litter and carrying out maintenance when necessary
  • signing in and out contractors correctly
  • adhere to the health and safety policy at the school at all times.
