Business Development Manager – Scotland

Bathrooms | Merchant & Retail Channel | Relationship-Led Sales

£45,000–£50, % Bonus and Strong Pension

ASR are partnering with a global leader in the manufacture of contemporary bathroom products to support the appointment of a Business Development Manager covering Scotland. This is a strategic hire to further strengthen the presence with national and independent merchants and retail showrooms.

The successful candidate will be commercially astute, ambitious, and highly customer-focused — someone who builds long-term relationships and develops accounts through service, support and product expertise rather than pure new-business hunting.

Role Overview

This role is focused on account development — maximising sales within an established customer base across Scotland. You will expand product presence, increase display activity, and provide regular training and engagement to help partners grow their category.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow spend across key merchant & retail partners
  • Strengthen product visibility and showroom presentation
  • Deliver tailored product training to increase conversion and confidence
  • Identify opportunities to widen range penetration into existing customers
  • Maintain strong call cycles and CRM discipline
  • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
  • Be a true ambassador for the brand across the region

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in sales within the KBB industry or strong showroom success ready for a first field role
  • Confident communicator with a consultative approach
  • Highly self-motivated and able to manage a large territory independently
  • Commercially aware with a track record of delivering results

Desirable

  • Solid understanding of merchant networks and retail bathroom showrooms

Package

  • Basic salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
  • Bonus: Up to 20% of basic salary
  • Company car – Hybrid SUV
