Role Overview

We're looking for a
PR & Comms Manager
to be the
chief storyteller of PerfectTed
. This is a senior hire, ideal for an
Account Manager/Director at a major PR agency
who's ready to step into their first big in-house leadership role.

You'll own the comms strategy end-to-end, driving PerfectTed's brand presence across consumer, trade, and business media — while building the founders' profiles as thought leaders. This is a role where you'll have both
autonomy and visibility
, with the opportunity to shape the voice of one of the UK's fastest-growing challenger brands.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Brand Storytelling & Comms Strategy
    – Own the comms roadmap, ensuring PerfectTed is a constant presence in consumer, trade, and business press.
  2. Hands-On Media Relations
    – Drive day-to-day press office activity: pitching, securing coverage, writing releases, and nurturing journalist relationships.
  3. Founder & Corporate Profiling
    – Build the founders into household names and thought leaders, securing interviews, panels, and op-eds.
  4. Protect & Elevate Reputation
    – Lead on reactive comms and reputation management; ensure consistent messaging at all times.
  5. Integrate with Marketing & Brand
    – Partner with events, content, and community to amplify campaigns and maximise earned media impact.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • 6+ years in PR/comms, ideally with agency experience at
    Account Manager
    level or above.
  • Proven track record in
    storytelling and securing high-profile coverage
    across consumer, trade, and business media.
  • Strong media network and relationships with journalists.
  • Excellent writing, copyediting, and pitching skills.
  • Awareness of
    AI-driven media monitoring, sentiment tracking, and content drafting tools
    to support storytelling and comms.

  • Experience working with
