Our client is an incredible PE backed multi site business based in Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire.

They are a growing SME and amazing brand name with retail sites across UK, France, and Germany.

They are recruiting a newly created role as the Head of FP+A / Head of Commercial Finance which reports into the CFO and Senior Group Controller. This role will have ownership and lead budgeting processes, developing financial models, and be the strategic commercial partner to senior stakeholders to identify challenges and areas of focus or growth for the business commercially moving forward

Ideal Candidate

  • 8-10+ years of experience in a commercial and business focused role with senior leadership
  • Lateral thinker who wants to be part of a fast growing SME
  • Progressive and ambitious personality who wants to develop further
  • Retail, Hospitality, or Multi site experience (pretty essential so you would know key outputs and supply chains etc)
  • Review and build financial models
  • Able to automate and integrate BI dashboards to improve

The role

  • Onsite every day
    (Of course if something cropped up and you needed to WFH on a sporadic day, no problem).
  • Location:
    ONSITE Oxfordshire and similar companies are based near chipping norton
  • Lovely friendly office, free parking, social, and great place to work
  • Salary £85k - £125k - Depending on experience as creating this role. Maybe stretch more if the person had the ideal industry and experience.
  • Notice Period:
    Due due budgeting process - the ideal candidate wpild be able to start in January or immediately. If that is not possible but are on say 3m notice, please still apply as they can perhaps get a 3m interim.

Duties include but not limited to

  1. Improve existing budgeting frameworks to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.
  2. Develop and optimise financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and decisions
  3. Support strategic initiatives by delivering clear, actionable financial analysis and recommendations.
  4. Identify opportunities to streamline FP+A processes and implement best practices.
  5. Lead on automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Manage and develop team of 3 analysts.
