With our digital capability expanding, we have a fantastic opportunity available for a Digital Product Owner to define and deliver transformational digital capability that benefits NFU Mutual customers whilst maximising value in-line with our core business objectives. The role is initially offered on a 12-month basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate and subject to business needs.
Reporting to the Head of Digital Customer Strategy, you will lead the development of NFU Mutual's digital products ensuring that the product backlog is prioritised effectively and that digital propositions are aligned with release schedules and enhancement activities. This role is key in delivering against the objectives that maximise NFU Mutual's digital proposition.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders building and maintaining strong relationships to influence and secure appropriate sponsorship to ensure consistent delivery of new digital capabilities in line with expectations and business readiness. Balancing prioritisation of features, management of the product backlog and collaborating with a wide network of stakeholders to gather and refine requirements whilst continuing to drive the evolution of customer experience at NFU Mutual.
You will confidently provide digital expertise across products, balancing technical, commercial, and customer experience perspectives. You will work with stakeholders, internal partners, and third-party suppliers to ensure delivery within budget, quality, and regulatory standards and monitor and resolve blockers or impediments in the digital development process.
You will effectively lead and motivate your scrum team ensuring they deliver efficiently and effectively to maximise sprint velocity. Keeping the team updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
This role requires a strong understanding of digital product management, an ability to drive business alignment, and a passion for delivering top-notch digital experiences.
Please note this role is known internally as Digital Product Manager.
About you
As an experienced digital professional, you are an effective communicator with a strong focus on customer experience. You are resilient and must have a proven background in a similar role. You have successfully led multiple transformational digital products from inception through to delivery. You have experience of driving commerciality and prioritising activity across digital business cases. You can demonstrate collaboration across numerous areas of a business and third parties to successfully deliver digital capability.
In addition, you must also demonstrate:
• Outstanding Stakeholder Management and influencing skills
• Experience of leading and motivating teams
• Experience of business case creation, socialisation and gaining financial commitment
