Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and adherence to food safety regulations
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and place orders as needed
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Support training of junior staff members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
  • Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
  • Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of culinary practices and hospitality standards
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
