As the Head of Business Analysis, you will lead and inspire a high-performing team of 25+ Business Analysts within a fast-paced, growing technology business. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic direction of the Business Analysis function, ensuring it delivers exceptional value across digital transformation and technology initiatives. Acting as a key bridge between business and technology, you will drive operational excellence, foster stakeholder collaboration, and ensure the delivery of client-centric solutions.

This is a strategic leadership role for someone who thrives on empowering teams, driving innovation, and making a measurable impact across the organisation. This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in our Birmingham Offices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 25+ Business Analysts across multiple projects and domains.
  • Define and implement the strategic vision for the Business Analysis function, aligned with business and technology goals.
  • Establish and maintain best practices, frameworks, and standards for business analysis across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights and requirements.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of business requirements, process models, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive continuous improvement in BA methodologies, tools, and performance metrics.
  • Support agile and waterfall delivery models, adapting approaches to suit project and client needs.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, learning, and excellence within the BA team.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, project outcomes, and business impact.
  • Champion the CARES values in all aspects of leadership, delivery, and team development.

Key tasks will include:

  • Achieving practice utilisation, delivery KPIs, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Using pipeline management to meet resource needs.
  • Developing and executing an efficient, high-quality BA practice strategy.
  • Embedding training and development in the BA Practice culture.
  • Supporting pre-sales activities and promoting Business Analysis and TXP.
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships with customers.
  • Ensuring physical and operational information security; following all procedures for data confidentiality and integrity.
  • Keeping a candidate pipeline that meets market requirements and supports rapid growth.

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience leading a Business Analysis function in a technology consultancy or professional services organisation.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation, enterprise systems, and agile delivery.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing BA talent.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and business process modelling techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and delivery.
