Drainage Contract Manager

The Role
We are looking for an experienced, proactive and driven Drainage Contracts Manager based from our Glastonbury Office in Somerset.
You will manage and resource a range of operational drainage activities including gully emptying, reactive jetting, root cutting, CCTV and Traffic Management throughout the county of Somerset.
This role will suit an experienced drainage professional with a background in operational management who is keen to stamp their own mark within one of the fastest growing drainage companies in the UK.
It is worth noting that this role is in a fast paced, ever changing environment where no two days are ever the same.
The Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility of the contract including Health & Safety and monthly P&L
- Supervision and management of a small depot team in an organisation that is agile, flexible, dynamic and innovative.
- Coordinating and planning of on-site resources
- Promoting and managing safe working practices at all times
- Managing contract performance, ensuring standards of work and targets are achieved
- Managing any performance or personnel issues
- Direct line management responsibility for multiple drainage personnel
- Building effective client relationships
- Developing, monitoring and managing the works programme
- Pricing new works using the contract & clients specific schedule of rates
- Monitoring delivery against cost and raise monthly applications for the approval of the clients
- Undertaking regular site audits, with an emphasis based on health, safety and quality
The Person
- Prior experience of working in a similar role within the drainage/highways industry
- The ability to manage safe working processing at all times
- Possess a good working knowledge of drainage across different types of infrastructure.
- Hold a CSCS card
- Hold a health and safety related qualification (SMSTS/IOSH Managing Safely)
