Are you ready to take your legal career to the next level? We have an exciting and unusual opportunity for a Paralegal or Lawyer experienced in Regulatory law to join a nationally recognised law firm within the Professional Conduct team working primarily with the Teaching Regulatory Agency (TRA). The firm is one of only four Panel firms to provide Presenting Officer (PO) services to assist the Department for Education (DfE) in the investigation, presentation and conclusion of alleged teacher misconduct including presenting cases to Professional Conduct Panels.

What you'll be doing

You will sit within the Professional Conduct team, working primarily on TRA case presenting matters with responsibilities including:- 

Supervising junior members of the team (relevant PC experience required).
Preparing case strategies and investigating allegations of misconduct.
Presenting allegations to the teacher and advising the client on procedural and legal issues.
Drafting witness statements and preparing hearing bundles.
Liaising with counsel and third parties.
Working collaboratively with the team
Opportunity to assist in defence PC work and contribute to expanding this area of practice.

What You'll Bring

Minimum 5 years' experience in professional conduct work (essential for supervisory responsibilities).
Relevant experience and knowledge in PC to support and guide junior team members.
Experience in other relevant regulatory or criminal law will be considered.
