Employee Relations Casework Lead

Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional with a passion for resolving complex workplace issues and supporting a dynamic, fast-paced environment? The City of London Corporation is looking for an Employee Relations Casework Lead to join our People and HR team.

As part of our Employee Relations Team, you'll play a vital role in fostering positive working relationships, managing complex casework, and providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and sickness matters. You will independently lead investigations, provide strategic guidance to managers and HR Business Partners, and contribute to process improvements across the organisation.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage employee relations casework from investigation to resolution
  • Provide expert advice on employment law, policies, and procedures
  • Support managers through disciplinary, grievance, and restructuring processes
  • Deliver training and promote preventative practices across the organisation
  • Analyse and report on ER trends and data to key stakeholders
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external partners
  • Deputise for the Head of Employee Relations when required

What we're looking for:

  • Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) membership
  • Proven experience in employee relations and case management, including TUPE and restructuring
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and tribunal processes
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high volume of complex cases with resilience and integrity
  • Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and the use of case management software
  • A collaborative team player with high standards of confidentiality
