Financial Accountant

If you're a Financial Accountant who takes pride in clean accounts, solid controls, and a smooth year end - this one's for you.

We're looking for a Financial Accountant to take ownership of day-to-day financial accounting, statutory reporting, and audit preparation across the business and its subsidiaries for one of our clients. You'll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data, and delivering accurate, timely reporting that supports smart decision-making.

You'll join a collaborative, forward-thinking finance team that values flexibility, balance, and good humour (especially around year end).

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the day-to-day financial accounting for the business and its subsidiaries.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and have experience of leading a year-end audit.
  • Own the balance sheet, ensuring reconciliations, controls, and analysis are watertight.
  • Maintain high standards of financial control and compliance.
  • Partner with colleagues across finance, FP&A, and operations to provide insight and drive improvements.
  • Support ongoing system development and process automation.

What we're looking for

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) - or a finalist with strong experience.
  • Proven background in financial accounting and statutory reporting.
  • Confident managing audits, consolidations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly across all levels.
  • Proactive, organised, and calm under pressure with the ability to hit deadlines.
