Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 pro-rata (dependant on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paramedic Practitioner to join the friendly and forward-thinking team at Orchid House Surgery in Ferndown. We are looking for a motivated clinician with extensive operational paramedic experience, full HCPC registration, and ideally experience within a primary care or minor illness setting.

Orchid House Surgery serves a population of approximately 9,000 patients and is rated 'Good' by the CQC. We work closely with our Primary Care Network, enabling us to deliver high-quality, innovative services supported by an expanded multi-disciplinary clinical team.

As a Paramedic Practitioner, you will work alongside four GP partners and be an integral part of our established home-visiting team, which includes two other Paramedic Practitioners and a Registered Nurse. You will also be supported by an experienced reception and administrative team. Professional development is actively encouraged, and we will support you in advancing your clinical skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake home visits to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acutely unwell patients, as well as carrying out routine clinical reviews where appropriate
  • Support the GPs with urgent and planned visits, ensuring timely, safe, and effective care
  • Conduct regular weekly ward rounds across six care homes, contributing to proactive care planning and the management of residents with complex needs
  • Triage and clinically assess patients presenting with a wide variety of conditions, providing treatment, referral, or advice as appropriate
  • Deliver most face-to-face consultations in patients' own homes or care home settings
  • Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care and service delivery
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical documentation and uphold professional standards

This role is ideal for a confident and compassionate Paramedic Practitioner who enjoys working autonomously, thrives in a supportive team, and values continuity of care in the community.
