Role Overview
The
Systems & Network Administration - AI Trainer
role is a unique combination of technical IT management and artificial intelligence (AI) training. This position is designed for someone who not only has a strong background in systems and network administration but also has a deep understanding of AI technologies and is capable of training AI models and systems to enhance network and system functionality. The role involves both maintaining and optimizing network systems and infrastructure, as well as leveraging AI tools and methodologies to improve operational efficiencies, security, and overall system performance.
As AI and machine learning (ML) technologies become increasingly integrated into IT systems, the need for specialists who can both manage complex network environments and train AI models to improve those systems is growing. The AI Trainer aspect of this role requires a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data collection, and the ability to implement AI models to automate and enhance the work of network administrators and systems engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems & Network Administration:
Network Configuration and Maintenance:
Manage, configure, and maintain network systems (LAN, WAN, VPN) to ensure seamless communication across systems. Optimize network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure that systems are running securely and efficiently.- Server Management:
Administer physical and virtual servers, ensuring they are set up correctly and remain fully functional. Perform regular backups, upgrades, and ensure security patches are applied to reduce vulnerabilities. - Security Management:
Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network access controls, to safeguard data and prevent unauthorized access. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor the health of systems, networks, and applications. Use network monitoring tools (e.g.,
Nagios
,
Wireshark
,
Zabbix
) to identify performance issues and implement corrective actions.AI Training and Model Implementation:
AI System Integration:
Train and implement AI-driven solutions within IT operations, such as predictive maintenance, network traffic analysis, anomaly detection, and automation of repetitive tasks.- AI Model Training:
Use machine learning algorithms to train AI models for improving network performance, troubleshooting, security analysis, and other tasks. Develop and improve data collection pipelines to ensure AI models are trained with high-quality data. - Automation & Optimization:
Automate system and network management tasks by using AI models, such as network traffic prediction, proactive maintenance scheduling, and predictive analytics for system failure or security incidents. Collaborate on AI Tools:
Work closely with data scientists, AI developers, and machine learning engineers to integrate AI technologies and machine learning models into network and system operations. Help define system requirements for AI-powered applications.Collaboration & Training:
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the IT team to ensure that AI-driven network solutions are integrated smoothly with existing infrastructure. Collaborate on solutions that combine systems administration and AI training to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.- AI Training Programs:
Develop training programs and workshops for team members to understand how to work with AI-powered tools, algorithms, and systems. Educate colleagues on the best practices of using AI technologies for network management and system administration. End-User Support and Training:
Provide training for end-users on AI tools that optimize system use, troubleshooting methods, and system efficiency improvements. Ensure that employees are comfortable using AI-enhanced network and system tools.Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Use AI-based insights to optimize network performance by analyzing usage patterns, traffic data, and system performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot issues related to both network infrastructure and AI-based systems, ensuring that network optimization algorithms are functioning properly.
Continually monitor and refine AI models to adapt to new trends in network behavior, security threats, and infrastructure needs.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain documentation on the AI systems in use, including configuration settings, machine learning model parameters, data sources, and training results.
- Create clear and concise reports on network performance, AI-based automation processes, and any issues encountered and resolved, presenting actionable insights to management and stakeholders.
- Regularly update training materials as AI technologies evolve and integrate into different facets of system administration.
Qualifications & Skills:
To be considered for the

role, candidates should have both a strong foundation in IT systems and network administration as well as experience or interest in AI technologies and machine learning.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree
in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field. A
Master's degree
or specialized certifications in AI or machine learning can be a plus.- 3-5 years
of experience in
systems administration
