Reinsurance Treaty Technician  

Location: London (Hybrid) 

Type: Full-time, Permanent

A leading Lloyds broker is seeking a meticulous and proactive Treaty Technician to join their Technical Services division. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with reinsurance experience particularly in proportional treaty processing to take the next step in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treaty Account Management: Process proportional treaty accounts and premium adjustments in line with slip conditions and internal procedures.
  • Claims Handling: Administer excess-of-loss claims from first advice through to settlement.
  • Document Production: Prepare placing slips, endorsements, Evidence of Covers, and other treaty documentation.
  • Premium Processing: Handle original and adjustment premiums using market systems.
  • Credit Control: Monitor premium payments and assist with reconciliation of unallocated cash.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with brokers, underwriters, and internal teams to resolve queries and ensure smooth operations.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all activity meets legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
Ideal Candidate
  • Prior experience in treaty reinsurance (proportional and XL)
  • Strong understanding of London market systems (e.g., IMR, LIDS, CLASS)
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Commitment to achieving CII qualifications
