About the Role:

Join the Everest Ceded Reinsurance Team as a Senior Reinsurance Technician and become a key player in our Global Operations Team. In this role, you will report to the AVP Head of Contract Setup, Ceded Reinsurance and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—including the Ceded Re Placing Team, Ceded Re Accounting, Underwriters, Claims, and Actuaries—to ensure reinsurance contracts are accurately recorded, billed efficiently, and meet all internal reporting and governance requirements.

You'll also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Brokers and Reinsurers, helping to reinforce Everest's reputation as a leading global insurance and reinsurance provider.

This position is based in our London office, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Record reinsurance contracts in the Ceded Reinsurance Accounting System (XL Pro), including treaty and facultative placements on both proportional and non-proportional bases.
  • Prepare and deliver ceded accounts accurately and on time, with all necessary supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate the settlement of Deposit Premiums across multi-entity ceding treaties.
  • Calculate and administer Adjustment Premiums and Profit Commissions.
  • Work alongside our Global Ceded Claims Specialist to issue Cash Calls, bill XOL claim recoveries, and calculate Reinstatement Premiums
  • Respond to Broker and Reinsurer queries related to ceded accounts.
  • Support internal stakeholders with coverage queries.
  • Assist in resolving overdue balances.
  • Carry out LORS activities on behalf of the Syndicate.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Ceded Reinsurance Technician or Reinsurance Broker Technician.
  • Lloyd's and London Market experience (essential).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • XL Pro experience (highly desirable).
  • LORS experience (desirable).
