Ceded Reinsurance is a strategic function within AXA XL in charge of defining and implementing the reinsurance strategy as well as administrating all reinsurance treaties through their lifecycle. This is from receiving finalised contract, system entry and working with Offshore team, ensuring payment of premium or quarterly amounts are issued and in order, other functions for Finance, checking financials are in order, administration and calculation of treaty tasks such as premium adjustments, profit commissions, overview of accounts to date, receiving and resolving queries. Ad-hoc projects.
Ceded Re Operations team is responsible for the administration of all Treaty Reinsurance business written within AXA XL.
Ceded Re Operations is composed of 4 key areas: Technical Operations, Technical Accounting, Data & Operations Reporting and Central Operations. This role resides within the Ceded Reinsurance Specialty Technical Operations team based in London. The role will be responsible for the Global Specialty reinsurance policy set-up for Marine tower and administration of Ceded Reinsurance issued to brokers.

What you'll be doing
What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Provide support and assistance to the Technical Operations team with daily activities.
- Contribute to billing process and BDX management monitoring;
- Regulatory and Operational reporting - production and submission of operational regulatory reporting.
- Provide support and assistance to the Technical Accounting team when required.
- Daily interaction with the teams based in India;
- Escalation at various levels to ensure closure of open items;
- Perform reconciliation between Destiny (operating tool) and Financial Data Mart (FDM);
- Interact with Ceded Re Insurance Segment team; Internal Control - Ensure that processes and controls are complied with in accordance with our internal control framework.
- Support Audit (internal/external) requests.
This Role Will Also Support Below BAU Activities
- ARAP backlog clearance project
- Ceded XOL Risks claims reporting
- Bermuda reporting
Review quarterly Ceded Reserve Analysis prepared by Actuarial Department

- Technical Reinsurance Knowledge
- Robust understanding of ceding reinsurance processes and systems.
- Familiarity with managing and operating reinsurance tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of contractual reinsurance arrangements and reporting requirements.
- Analytical and Process Improvement Skills
- Ability to review, analyze, and enhance reinsurance and sanction review processes.
- Experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation related to reinsurance operations.
- Relationship Management and Collaboration
- Excellent interpersonal skills to partner effectively with internal teams (Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Legal) and external intermediaries.
- Effective communication skills to build and maintain productive relationships.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate across diverse departments and global teams.
- Regulatory and Compliance Awareness
- Understanding of sanctions, legal, and regulatory requirements impacting reinsurance operations.
- Ability to manage sanction-related issues in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Financial and Credit Control Acumen
- Knowledge of cash flow management, cash calls, and contractual financial obligations.
- Ability to work closely with Technical Accounting and Credit Control teams to optimize cash flow and ensure timely payments.
- Communication and Reporting Skills
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing reports to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly during meetings and cross-functional discussions.
- System and Data Management
- Experience in reviewing and approving policy setup in core reinsurance systems.
- Competence in working with shared service teams for data accuracy and system updates.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills
- Punctuality - To the office and meetings.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Effective organizational skills to coordinate meetings, reviews, and follow-ups.
