We're looking for a practical and organised Procurement Manager to support and coordinate the day-to-day purchasing activities that keep our operations running smoothly.

The Role

As a Senior Buyer, you'll be responsible for handling purchasing tasks, working closely with suppliers, and ensuring materials and stock are available when needed. You'll work alongside other departments to help maintain reliable supply chains, control costs, and keep projects on schedule. This role is ideal for someone with solid procurement experience who enjoys working in a busy, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day procurement tasks, including placing and tracking purchase orders.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm lead times, prices, and delivery dates.
  • Monitor stock levels and work with internal teams to plan reorders in line with production needs.
  • Resolve delivery issues or delays in a timely and professional manner.
  • Keep procurement records up to date in the company's CRM and ERP systems.
  • Help track supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with cost control by sourcing competitive quotes and checking price changes.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to ensure supply needs are met.
  • Produce regular reports on procurement activity, stock levels, and supplier reliability.
  • Lead specific sourcing projects, delivering progress updates and recommendations to Senior Leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a procurement, buying, or supply chain role.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work well with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with CRM or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in a busy environment.
