An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our growing business as an MOT Tester at our Cold Meece Refurbishment site.

In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting MOT tests to DVSA standards, ensuring all vehicles meet legal and safety requirements. You'll work within a modern, well-equipped facility alongside a team of skilled technicians and professionals dedicated to delivering excellence in vehicle preparation and maintenance.

Hours: 7.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), i.e. 42.5 hours per week.

Salary: Dependent on experience(to be discussed at interview stage)

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out MOT tests on a range of vehicles in line with DVSA regulations.
  • Identify and report vehicle defects accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete associated documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Work closely with the workshop team to ensure all vehicles meet quality and safety standards before release.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Qualified MOT Tester with a valid DVSA Smart Card (Class 4 and/or 7).
  • Proven experience working within a vehicle testing or automotive service environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
