Duties

  • Service Brakes and Tyres
  • Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Be willing to train for VOSA MOT testing
  • Communicate findings to vehicle owners and provide recommendations for repairs or maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in training junior staff members on testing procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle testing (e.g., VOSA approved MOT Tester).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £32,100.00-£38,500.00 per year
