Your impact
Target a different future. An excellent opportunity has arisen, to join our Procurement and Commercial function as a Procurement Manager in Leonardo's Laser and Electro-Optic business based in Edinburgh. You will lead and develop a small team of Procurement professionals delivering and end-to-end service to a family of early lifecycle / New Product Introduction (NPI) products. This is a unique opportunity to source and develop a supply chain from the 'ground up' and deliver results whose impact will be felt over decades to come. This position reports to the Senior Procurement Manager (Advanced Targeting).
What You'll Bring
- Contract management experience in New Product Introduction / early lifecycle programmes.
- Previous experience of line management / team leadership is highly desirable.
- CIPS membership / qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Educated to degree standard, professional qualification and/or significant domain experience.
- Experience of working in Aerospace & Defence sector a distinct advantage
- Proven collaboration, communication, planning, problem solving, decision making and continuous improvement skills
- Ability to engage and influence cross-functional/cross site teams at all levels
- Commercial acumen and contracting management.
- Solid understanding of LCM and business processes and ability to apply them independently to meet business objectives.
- Able to provide advice, guidance and leadership in customer and people management with the development of competencies for the requirements of the function.
- High level of knowledge of scenario planning specific to the business requirements, change management and strategic thinking

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
