SCOTTISH CANCER NETWORK
The Scottish Cancer Network (SCN) Was Established In 2021 As National Resource To Support And Facilitate a 'Once For Scotland' Approach To Cancer Services. The Main Objectives Were To

  • Develop and operate a system for the production, review, and hosting of National Clinical Management Pathways.
  • Oversee and drive improvement of existing National Managed Clinical Networks and adopt similar national network approaches for other areas that may benefit.
  • Deliver other collaborative projects as agreed with Scottish Government.

The SCN remit is currently evolving, however we continue to work collaboratively with already established regional and national Cancer Networks to support and clinically agree best practice, with the aim to support equity of care across Scotland throughout a patient's cancer journey.

The ideal candidates will have significant cancer experience and knowledge of SACT governance, have excellent communication and negotiation skills, will be experienced in working collaboratively with senior colleagues and clinicians within Health Boards, Regional Networks and possibly also in National Groups or settings.

This is both an exciting and challenging role that requires excellent skills in leadership and managing change in a complex, and dynamic environment.
