Propharm Services Ltd is dedicated to providing accessible and expert pharmacist-led services to support GP practices, advanced nurse practitioners, and practice staff. We specialise in acute prescribing, medication reviews, and tailored specialist clinics to meet the unique needs of each practice. Recognising the challenges faced by GP practices in employing pharmacy staff directly, we offer both short-term and long-term sessional cover for direct patient care and internal practice support. Our team is composed of passionate, experienced pharmacist prescribers committed to delivering high-quality primary care services and enhancing healthcare outcomes.

Role Description

This is a full-time or part-time opportunity, with on-site roles located in Central Scotland for Pharmacist Prescribers. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing acute prescribing services, conducting medication reviews, and managing specialist clinics to support patient care. The pharmacist will work closely with GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff to ensure practices meet patient care goals effectively. The role also involves offering internal practice support for optimal service delivery and contributing to the seamless operation of primary care services.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of acute prescribing, medication management, and specialist clinic services
  • Proficiency in patient-centered care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Independent Prescriber qualification and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality healthcare services in primary care settings
  • Flexibility to adapt to the operational needs of GP practices
