About the Role
Hamilton Cross is seeking an experienced and driven Central Bookings Manager to lead and develop our centralised bookings function across multiple branches. You will be responsible for managing a team of Booking Coordinators, ensuring the efficient deployment of temporary healthcare workers to meet client demand across all regions. This role is critical in delivering seamless staffing solutions, maximising workforce utilisation, and providing an outstanding service to both clients and agency workers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Booking Coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Oversee day-to-day scheduling and staffing operations to ensure timely and accurate placement of healthcare workers.
Monitor team performance, set objectives, and ensure bookings targets and SLAs are achieved.
Support demand forecasting and optimise staff allocation across all branches.
Implement efficient workflows and digital tools to streamline the bookings process.
Develop strategies to improve fill rates, reduce unfulfilled shifts, and maximise worker availability.
Act as an escalation point for operational issues, ensuring swift resolution and continuous service improvement.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, safeguarding guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Provide regular performance reports to the Operations Director.
Champion Hamilton Cross's culture, values, and best practices within the central staffing function.
Person Specification
Essential:
Proven team leadership or line management experience.
Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of healthcare staffing operations.
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, service-led environment.
Desirable:
Experience managing centralised or multi-site bookings functions.
Knowledge of compliance and safeguarding in healthcare settings.
Experience within the temporary healthcare staffing sector.
