Job Summary

The Door Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of premises, patrons, and staff. This position involves monitoring the entrance and exit points, managing crowd control, and maintaining a safe environment for all visitors. The Door Supervisor will be responsible for enforcing venue policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the venue, ensuring only authorised individuals enter.
  • Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems to identify any suspicious behaviour or potential threats.
  • Implement crowd control measures during busy periods to maintain order and safety.
  • Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary and liaising with emergency services as required.
  • Collaborate with management to enforce venue policies regarding age restrictions, dress codes, and conduct.
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying and addressing theft or misconduct within the venue.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times while representing the venue positively.

Skills

  • Proficient in surveillance techniques and familiar with CCTV operation.
  • Strong knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response protocols.
  • Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain vigilant in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patrons and staff clearly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues efficiently as they arise.

This role is essential for maintaining a safe atmosphere within the venue while ensuring an enjoyable experience for all guests. Candidates should possess a proactive attitude towards security and customer service, making them an integral part of our team.
