Bright Stars Nursery in Westbury, Wiltshire, provides care for children aged 0-5 years and we are currently seeking a Nursery Cook to join our team.

This role would suit someone with a passion for preparing home cooked nutritious meals with young children in mind.

Experience of working in a similar environment such as a care home, school or nursery would be beneficial but not essential and all training will be provided.

All recipes and menus will be provided by the setting, however, we welcome ideas and suggestions to expand and improve our menus.

A sound knowledge of food allergens and confidence in providing alternative options for children with food allergies or specific dietary requirements would be beneficial but training can be given.

The successful candidate would be required to work a variety of shifts between 8.30am-1.30pm, 5 days per week (approximately 21 hours per week), all year round and will be working independently to prepare hot, nutritious meals for approx 25-40 children daily. Duties include, catering for children under the age of 5 using freshly prepared produce on a daily basis, stock control, day to day managing and cleaning of the kitchen.

Hourly rate will depend on previous experience.
