Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Culinary Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on seasonal ingredients.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
  • Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for creating delicious meals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • A creative approach to meal preparation, with an eagerness to learn and develop new skills in the culinary field.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.50-£15.81 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 28 per week
