We're looking for an enthusiastic Interim Finance Assistant to support our finance team over a key 4 month period. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills who's ready to contribute to day-to-day finance operations and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. As our company continues to experience significant growth and expansion, the demands on our finance team have increased. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled FinanceAssitant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Perform transaction processing and finance administration using Xero
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Manage credit control activities, including generating aged debt/cashflow reports and implementing strategies to ensure timely payments
  • Accounts Payable: Processing invoices, coding cost lines, Purchase Order reconciliations, dealing with supplier queries and timely payment runs
  • Execute Month-End duties: including double-entry journals, internal cross charges, customer invoicing, accruals, assisting the Management Accountant with queries and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements for the role:

  • Strong interest in finance with a willingness to learn and support day-to-day financial tasks
  • Professional and confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team while also managing tasks independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Please note for this role, we are looking at 3 days a week in the office based in Theale, Reading ( Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are our usual office days).
