Our client a UK challenger bank, is seeking an exceptional Head of Compliance & Conduct to lead their compliance agenda, strengthen conduct culture and act as SMF16. This is a rare opportunity to influence the organisation at Executive and Board level while driving fair outcomes for customers.

What You'll Do

  • Provide expert PRA & FCA compliance advice across the business.
  • Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks, policies, monitoring, MI and Board reporting.
  • Lead on regulatory relationships, reviews, visits & inspections.
  • Oversee conduct risk, Data Protection & Privacy, whistleblowing and SMR.
  • Drive regulatory strategy, horizon-scanning and engagement with industry bodies.
  • Prepare senior leaders for regulatory meetings and interviews.
  • Support strategic regulatory change initiatives and ensure safe, customer-focused delivery.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years' senior experience in Compliance, Conduct or Risk within Retail Banking or a regulatory body.
  • Deep understanding of PRA, FCA and the UK regulatory environment.
  • Strong influence at Executive/Board level; clear, confident communicator.
  • Proven leadership experience and a collaborative, inclusive approach.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent judgement and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
