The Role

We're looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our team on a part-time contract (20 guaranteed hours per week).

You'll be supporting a small number of service users - both younger and older adults - in the Yate, Winterbourne, Emersons Green areas.

Your work will include:

  • Providing personal care such as washing, dressing, and medication prompts
  • Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Supporting with meal preparation and light domestic tasks
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, shops, or community activities
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in daily life
  • Maintaining accurate and respectful care records

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping people live comfortably and confidently at home.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience in domiciliary, residential, or community care
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
  • Compassionate, reliable, and professional attitude
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Flexibility to work a mix of mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
  • Experience supporting clients with personal care or complex needs
  • Confident in providing companionship and promoting independence

Personal Attributes

We're looking for Support Workers who are:

  • Kind, patient, and respectful
  • Proactive and able to use their initiative
  • Comfortable working independently with regular team support
  • Good communicators who enjoy building trusted relationships

Working Hours

  • 20 hours guaranteed per week (part-time)
  • Monday to Friday, plus every other weekend
  • Some flexibility for evening work
  • Local travel between clients (mileage paid when using your own vehicle)
